According to reports, the officer was Lieutenant Colonel, stationed with Natto in Italy, and was under investigation over allegations of spying on Russia, writes The Guardian, Pryscopy.
He allegedly offered sensitive Russian intelligence documents.
The military in question was arrested by France's DGSI intelligence agency as it was preparing to go to Italy after the holidays ended in France. He's being held in a prison in Paris. /Periscope
