However, such news has been quickly erased from the Serbian media, and B92 has reported that Vuciq will not perform any visits to Weyman.
Regarding such a development, Foreign Affairs Minister Melza Haradinaj Stublla has reacted.
She has said that at this time, on the eve of the September 4th meeting in Washington, any visit from Serbia to Kosovo would be seen as provocation, which would produce countereffects for the negotiations process.
“In the critical week when Kosovo makes efforts to build political and institutional unity for the trilateral meeting with Serbia in Washington, under the White House leadership, potential visits would be seen as political and counterproductive before the serious and concrete initiative that international partners have undertaken”, Haradinaj Stublla wrote.
Kosovo's top diplomat at the end has said that “Kosovo and its natural resources are the property of Kosovo and its citizens, and that they will never become the platform of provocative translations to try to advance interests belonging to the past century”.
