Farmer Massar Piraj from Plava has asked Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti no longer to invest the Government in infrastructure and asphalt projects, but to have agricultural focus, as this sector is the driver of economic development.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Abdullah Hoti during his visit to the farm “Centre” na Dragash said he would double grants and subsidies for farmers.
The owner of a cow farm in Plav, Masar Piraj, said they have a lot of difficulty surviving as farmers without state support.
Releasing milk products in the market and providing animal food remains one of the challenges of the Piraj farmer.
However, he had a message for Prime Minister Hoti and Agriculture Minister Bessian Mustafa.
I have a proposal not only because I'm on this issue, not just for me, if you have access to agriculture, focus on all the capacities to raise agriculture, because we all here feed on the farmer and his products. Therefore, it is possible to be left on the sides of the cubes and asphalts, as agriculture is the only economy that does not require inadequate high standards”, Piraj said.
Prime Minister Hoti assured that the budget for agriculture and livestock will be increased by next year, so that low import of meat and milk products.
We'll stay close, three weeks ago the grant and subsidies programme is open.
It ends on record terms that as soon as farmers get the support they need. Good to pass the budget, subsidies will double as promised. I expect Minister Mustafa to come with a much richer programme next year. Slowly, but I think that this sector is being consolidated and connected and that we are reducing dependence on these products.
While, Agriculture Minister Besian Mustafa has said that for this year they have increased subsidies for heads of milk cows from 70 euros to 85 euros.
He promised that even with the plan for economic recovery, the agriculture sector will be supported, in this case, livestock.
This year we have increased financial support for the blgtpri. For cows and milk buffalo, we have increased subsidies from 70 euros for leaders to 85 euros. And as for the slaughter of leaves in animals of 50 euros, we have raised 75 euros. As for milk, it remains the same. We will see from the Recuperation Pack to increase support for the agriculture sector, including in the livestock sector”, Mustafa said.
During this visit to Dragash, Prime Minister Hoti has also met with Gora area farmers in the village of Krushevo, which he was asked to have more investments in road infrastructure and regular electricity supplies. The same region was also named a tourist destination.
