Drogba for President: Fans love him, but not the Football Association.

Chelsea's former legend, Didier Drogba, presented his candidacy to become Côte d'Ivoire football president, Periscopi broadcasts.

The 42-year-old will compete to be senior chief of the Cote-Ivoire Football Federation, to be held on 5 September.

So the roads around them were made of crowds wearing banners and T - shirts with the face of Drogba.

Despite his popularity and fan support, however, his candidacy has already suffered a major blow after the Côte d'Ivoire Association failed to support him. /Periscope
