The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cromon, has accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq of lying about cases with COVID-19 before the elections.
According to her, power was more important than citizens' health, while accusing even of brutal violence against protesters who last night filled the squares by rejecting the new measures.
It seems that Vuchy lied about COVID19 numbers to have quiet selection. He cannot hide after increasing new cases, and people know that power was more important to him than health. Major peaceful protests yesterday and he is brutally attacking protesters and passersby”, she wrote on Twitter.
Otherwise, thousands of Serbs protested after President Aleksandar Vuciq decided to return the curfew this weekend in Belgrade. The angry crowds invaded the square in front of parliament, demanding the head of state resign.
With calls “Hajdut”, “brap”, “Resign” protesters tried to detonate the doors of parliament, some of them could enter but faced with police forces.
Citizens blame President Vuciq for burdening the country's epidemiological situation.
