Thaci: Skender Hyseni has mandated to negotiate final agreement with Serbia

Through a Facebook post, the president has said he welcomes Hysen's appointment to this position, writes news.net.

According to him, this appointment is a product of interstate coordination, writes news.net.

In fact, Thaci has said that Hyseni has mandates to negotiate the final political agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, rather than being part of the procedures he has called “therpe technical”.

I welcome the appointment of former Kosovo diplomat, Mr. Skender Hyseni, state co-ordinator for dialogue between the state of Kosovo and Serbia. Mr. Hyseni is the product of interstate co-ordination. I have full confidence that Mr. Joining the process of freedom and statehood will be vital for the final phase of dialogue for mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia. Mr. Hyseni has the mandate to negotiate the final political agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, and not to become part of the exhausted technical processes. I am convinced that with his commitment and effort, Mr. Hyseni will manage to build the necessary political consensus between the position and opposition in the best interests of the Republic of Kosovo.
