Thaci after meeting with Basha: We also talked about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia

After the meeting, Thaci and Basha spoke to the media.

“E thank you for his contribution to Kosovo's freedom and independence and that of international recognition”, the president has said, detailing what he has talked to the PDPA leader.

“We talked about developments in Kosovo Albania and co-operation between institutions”, he said.

The country's president, Hashim Thaci, has said there must be internal consensus and concrete steps in relation to dialogue.

It is important that we continue to have a consensus as broad as possible for concrete and dialogue steps. We also talked about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, for us it is of vital importance to have co-ordination between the political spectrum, to be the commitment of unity, institutions, political parties. The international fact should also be co-ordinated in a close co-operation between Washington and Brussels”, he has added.

Thaci has said there should be no technical talks, but dialogue ending with mutual recognition.

The “that should be closed not in technical terms but with mutual recognition as soon as possible”, Thaci said.
