King Salman of Saudi Arabia is taken to hospital, suffering from this disease

Saudi Arabia's King Salman, 84, has been sent to a hospital in the capital Riyadh due to inflammation in the bladder, the state news agency SPA reported.

The leader who has led the state known for oil export since 2015 is undergoing medical checkups, this agency reported without providing further details.

King Salman had served as prince and deputy prime minister for more than two years since June 2012 before he was placed in the highest position of the state. He has also served as governor of the Riyadh region for more than 50 years.
