Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti called on citizens Saturday to be careful during the coronary pandemic, until he has shown that even beds for sick people are shrinking.
He said that out of a total of seven hundred beds at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo and in regional hospitals, only 130 beds have remained available for people infected with coronarys.
“We are doing the impossible within the hospital service to create additional capacities to prevent the situation where we have no place to reach people who are seeking hospitalization”, Hoti said on Saturday, following the Committee's meeting for co-ordination and assessment of the current coronary situation in Kosovo.
Hoti said that currently relevant institutions are working in the new reshuffle at QKUK and perhaps closing some clinics to use later on for people affected by coronarys.
Some clinics should now be closed and made available to manage this situation. Meanwhile, we are also working with private hospitals in order to create additional capacity”, Hoti said.
The prime minister has also expressed concern about disrespecting the measures in some cases and, as said, disrespecting duties by police and inspectorate.
