Most people don't know why they're posting a black and white picture. It is said that the initiative is intended to support women, but questions naturally arise: “T support for what?” and “TTE support how?”
According to the New York Times journalist Tariro Montenegrinwa, the campaign has started in Turkey to bring to the attention the phenomenon of women's killings, which appears to have increased significantly recently. In this way the initiative loses its purpose as long as it is posted by people who do not know the real purpose. It's kind of like posting hashtag “all people matter”, at the time when, in the world's spotlight, the change of protection policies against racism for the relative-American community.
Of course, a black-and-white picture in Instagram doesn't hurt anyone, because the Instagram ending to post photos serves, but if we really want to support women in Albania, Turkey, the Balkans and elsewhere, we may not be enough to take a random photo of ourselves (or not so much) from the telephone gallery, but instead: they can post photos of a girl who serves as an inspirational model, donations can be published for raped women, they can launch campaigns to support associations that deal with post-tral treatment and physical violence of girls, and psychological violence that can be promoted by girls and other businesses.
