Balance heats up with COVID-19 in Albania, over 100 new cases in 24 hours

Dr. Gentiana Kyriaco of the Institute of Public Health gave details:

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs you of the recent 24-hour epidemiological situation in our country, reminding you at the beginning of this communication the obligation to place a mask in closed environments, aimed at curbing the spread of COVID19. We look to each citizen, to put the mask on the closed environments, and wherever the distance is not stored, the use of protective masks/barriees is a must for each individual.
In the last 24 hours, they haven't won the battle with 4 citizens: A 43-year-old man from Camza, without other diseases, assembled and in serious condition for several days has been unable to survive despite the medical staff's great efforts. They have lost their battle with the dangerous virus even a 60-year-old man from Shkodra, a 64-year-old from Durres at the Infective Hospital and a 61-year-old from Tirana at the Shefqqet Didocı Hospital, with associate diseases.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed their condolences.

There are new facilities in both hospitals, and the situation comes to be serious. Currently, in two COVID hospitals, the Infective Hospital, and the Hospital
“Shefqet Ndkoqi” is treating 110 patients, 14 in intensive therapy and 1 assembled.
Over the last 24 hours, 501 tests have been conducted for suspects affected by COVID19, of which 102 positive cases have been confirmed.

The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 67 cases in Tirana, 5 in Shkodra, out of 4 cases in Kruja, from 2 cases in Berat, Kavaja, Pecin, from 1 case in Durres, Has, Korca, Lezha, Lushnje, Vlora, Saranda.
In the last 24 hours, 50 citizens have been healed, bringing the number of cured from the beginning of the epidemic to 2264.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again calls on businesses, institutions to implement the safety protocols at work correctly approved by health authorities.
Remember citizens that:

Putting the mask in closed environments is mandatory.

Any protective barrier, even in domestic conditions, helps limit the spread of infection.
Textile masks should fully cover your nose and mouth at all times.
Failure to comply with this measure is punishable according to the normous act, with a measure of administration of about $2,000 for each citizen.
The Health Ministry calls on you to respect self-impression when you are affected by COVID19.
Even if you suspect that you are touched or have had contact with people who are affected, you have to isolate yourself. If you have signs of the disease, call the National Emergency number 127.
