The decision, which was signed by the chairman of this commission, Mirsim Beqiri, has named KHAIA investigator Arben Gashi as responsible investigators over the case.
The “appointed as needed can use all capacity and co-ordination with all local and international institutions, based on the legislation in force for the implementation of this probe”, the decision provided by the Signal newspaper said.
Gashi is obliged to prepare a detailed report on this case.
KHAIA had warned of the opening of investigations into the accident on July 20th, when it announced Gerjaliu's death and the injury of 23-year-old Jonah Gegaj.
The Commission for Investigation of Accidents and Aeronautic Incidents “has come to the site of the event jointly with Kosovo Police Regional Units in Prizren and examined the evidence on the ground. The KHAIA will open investigations into this case and the final report, which will include recommendations, will be sent to the Government and Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo”, the KHAIA Media Community said.
