Whether by chance or not, two events that have shaken the opinion in Kosovo have occurred on the same day, on April 24th of this year.

Until the first was transmitted live, the second was learned by two months late. Shkelzen Gashi and the Special Court Prosecutor on the same date have given their opinions regarding war crimes in Kosovo, allegedly committed by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

On 24 April this year, Shkelzen Gashi, being Prime Minister Albin Kurti's adviser, has declared that KLA members have committed crimes, that they are suspected of killing 1,000 Serb civilians, and that whoever committed crimes must be punished. Gashi, too, had claimed Dick Marty is not an anti-Albanian, while you had discovered that during the campaign in the recent national elections he advised Albin Kurti not to go against the Special Court.

These statements by Shkelzen Gashi, which he made during a T7 Frontal interview, were made the very day the Special Prosecutor has handed over to the war crimes indictment against President Hashim Thaci and PDK Chairman Kadri Veseli, two of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Gashi had caused major reactions and his statements were called scandalous, while after intense public pressure Prime Minister Albin Kurti had been forced to dismiss him from the councillor's post but had not voiced criticism of him.
