The Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts (ASHAK) has summed up in a publication all agreements reached in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Before they come out in print, A SHAK has already released the publication on the official web, on which all interested can access.
A SHAK insists Kosovo- Serbia should be open and transparent, as it clearly addresses the individual and institutional responsibility of participants involved in this process, in line with the importance this dialogue has for the future of the country.
Kosovo-Serbia dialogue in the past ten years has undergone serious deviations, placing Kosovo in inferior positions and violating its constitutional basis, with the idea that constructiveity will be rewarded at the latest.
So far Kosovo's constructive stance has been interpreted as willingness to make unstable compromises, even such as seriously hurting Kosovo's citizenship and the functioning of the state in its entire territory, the communique says.
In addition to the lack of a dialogue platform in the form of a comprehensive and common political consensus, so far in the process of guiding and conducting dialogue have included individuals who have often not reflected institutional responsibility and personal political and moral integrity, designing agreements with Serbia as attributes of their career or beneficial compromises for their political credibility. In agreements and dialogue with Serbia, for totally non-institute interests, party, business and oligarchic interests are designed for individuals and groups of individuals who demand that Kosovo sacrifice its state subjectivity and international position for political and power-holding favours, it is further said in the communique.
A The SHAK says international pressure to speed up dialogue, including a final agreement with Serbia, is interpreted as Kosovo's readiness for compromises exceeding all constitutional limits.
Kosovo's play of international supporters has been interpreted by Serbia and by a part of the external factor as willingness to compromise with Kosovo's independence and territory.
In the international discussion, due to the readiness for compromises this way, already completed topics on February 17th 2008, with Kosovo's declaration of Independence, A notes. SHAK.
With publishing and publishing Kosovo-Serbia agreements, A The SHAK aims to warn that the resulting mistakes in agreement and dialogue cannot be repeated in the future, and that the expected dialogue has the only basis in the fundamental principles of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
A SHAK in the future will closely monitor the dialogue process and discuss in the open all agreements that will be reached with Serbia to install a culture of accountability that has lacked Kosovo and its democracy still fragile and hurt by irresponsible actions of our political class.
