Covid-19's deteriorating situation has forced the neighbouring government to allow the passage of only Albanian citizens to submit documentation that within the past 48 hours they have conducted the test with a tampon and have resulted negative.
This restriction excludes travelers who have a basic function/need, such as:
health professionals, medical researchers;
The personnel engaged in transporting goods and any other transport personnel;
The diplomats, staff of international organisations, military personnel and humanitarian aid workers during their operations;
Special passenger Categors in transit, including Albanian citizens who own a passport of one of the European Union countries except Italy and Belgium.
Or for other humanitarian reasons.
For citizens from countries like Germany, France or Spain, there are no problems. Julian Weigl from Dortmund after spending several days vacationing in Albania has decided to return to his home.

At first, I was a little scared of the virus because I wasn't sure how people would answer me because I'm a traveler, but I was welcome everywhere, he said. /tch
