New Health Minister Amend Zemaj, in connection with the country's recent pandemic situation, has called for caution and respect of preventive measures against Coddy-19.
Among other things, he has said that given that the situation in some municipalities is unstable and we are still having new cases with coronarys, any negligence can harm and overload the health system.

Minister Andmendi Zemaj's address regarding the situation around Covid-19
The virus is still present, and if we do not adhere to recommendations given with great discipline, new cases may arise and thus overload the health system with unforeseen consequences and direct risk of the lives of citizens.
Pristina, June 5, 2020
Dear citizens of the Republic of Kosovo!
Since the epidemiological situation is presented with increased positive cases in recent days and is not stable in some Kosovo municipalities, we demand that the recommendations of the National Public Health Institute be implemented correctly.
The danger has not yet passed, so some citizens' negligence in failing to implement the measures may increase the risk of spreading infection from the SARS CoV-2 virus.
The virus is still present, and if we do not adhere to recommendations given with great discipline, new cases may arise and thus overload the health system with unforeseen consequences and direct risk of the lives of citizens.
The Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute require rigorous respect for safeguards, strict respect for physical distance, use of masks, disinfectation and ventilation of domestic and working environments, to prevent the eventual spread of infection and to avoid spreading the virus within closed spaces.
The epidemiological situation is constantly being monitored, with commitments not to allow deterioration, which would force us to go back and take additional measures in preventing pandemics that would also mean stops of some already opened and functioning normally, always obliged to apply the IKSHPK recommendations.
We would once like to inform citizens that all those entering the Republic of Kosovo must have passed their test at COVID-19 or self-aware for 7 days while staying at home, avoiding contact with relatives and maintaining personal distance and hygiene. Any violation of these rules would be a threat to the health of others who are forbidden even under the Law to prevent and fight infectious diseases.
Implementation of recommendations by the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute should be monitored by law enforcement and field inspectors, and legal measures will be taken for all cases of non-compliance of these recommendations.
Please be careful, because there is still a danger of spreading the virus to countries where there is a great gathering of people. The relief of the measures, not to reduce our care, but to make us more responsible.
We view our sacrifice to maintain our health as a subliable value. The virus has no legs, so don't give it your feet, because that's how we're all going to get in danger.
Take care of each other's health, our health!
