France and Germany will continue the commitment to the return of Kosovo and Serbia to the dialogue table.
A summit between Pristina and Belgrade will take place in the next three months, Kurir has announced through diplomatic sources.
One of the options was for the meeting between Kosovo's top representatives and Serbia to be held under the EU leadership and held in July, news broadcasts.net.
At the moment, however, it is difficult to do so because of the situation with COVID-19 and the continuation of the flight ban in various countries.
“Europe will lead that dialogue, in fact Germany and France. These two countries want to play a key role in organising the summit, which has been delayed for a year. Germany and France want to influence”, a source of Kurir said, broadcasts news.net.
“According to all likelihood, this summit will be held in the next three months. Everybody's going to try duke now. If the U.S. led the dialogue, the emphasis would be on correcting borders. Yes, the US will be involved, but they now have their problems. More intensive negotiations are expected after the election's end in Serbia, meaning after 21 June”, he added.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has ordered that Pristina is ready for dialogue with Belgrade and believes an agreement can be reached within this year
