The reported release to the media says Rakiq and Abbott have talked about the situation created by the Coronavirus, as well as the importance of continuing Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
As at previous meetings, neither was Kosovo's flag in the office seen at this meeting. However, the inscription, the Republic of Kosovo, is seen.
That the Kosovo flag is not being kept in the deputy prime minister's office has reported Serbian media. This news was exposed by Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti's office. The prime minister's office in a response to Gazeta Express has said the Kosovo flag has not left the Government's space, where Rakiqi works.
Deputy Prime Minister Goran Rakic has not removed any Kosovo symbols, nor has the flag, from his office. The issue of the use of symbols is determined by the State Protocol, so each official is obliged to adhere to this protocol. As for the controversial case in the media, we assure you that the symbols are where they were and there is no removal of them”, said the ZKM's response.
President Hashim Thaci has spoken about the issue today. He said they have no place in institutions for people who do not respect Kosovo's symbols.
