Newcastle United is in discussion about a transfer of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona.
The former Liverpool midfielder currently is loaned to Bayern Munich in Bundesliga, but the German side does not seem to make a permanent move for him.
On the other hand, Coutinho has not even convinced Barcelona to keep him on the team, which he pays 160m euros in January 2018.
Tottenham has shown an interest in the Brazilian and was even close to his transfer last summer, before he finalised the Bayern Munich loaning agreement.
But the 27-year-old's most likely destination seems to be Newcastle United, if their ownership passes to Arab investors.
