The news was released by the Health Ministry, which confirmed that the 62-year-old man had no co-operative diseases, was hospitalised since the beginning of this month and had 10 days in serious condition.
From March to today, authorities have conducted about 20,000 virological tests for COVID-19, from which they have diagnosed 1995 infected persons, 33 in the last 24 hours alone.
Of the total infected, 1159 have recovered, 45 have died and 790 are still carrying the virus. According to authorities, 80 of these are hospitalised.
During the past week, authorities have appealed citizens to be cautious, for an increasing trend of infection has been observed.
Concretically in the last 7 days, 405 new cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed, while 9 victims of the last 62-year-old death today have been recorded among the sick.
According to the population, statistics speak of 16 deaths for every 1 million people.
