Several annulments have already been accepted for the months of June and July. The situation is similar in the city of Bern. Almost 40 percent have postponed bookings for 2021.
“The main reason is the ban on meetings because couples cannot celebrate the day unique to friends and family”, said Hans Rudolf gli, Civil State Chief and Civil Rights Service at Bern Canton.
On May 27th, the Federal Council is expected to announce easing the measures for the summer months. But wearing protective masks, keeping a distance of two metres will remain mandatory, while inviting guests will not be possible for newlyweds.
