Evan Thompson of the University of British Columbia has verified Anatta's Buddhist faith, or not. Neuroscence has been interested in Buddhism since the late 1980s, when the Institute of Mind and Life was created by H. Dalai Lama and a team of scientists.

The scientific work that came from these studies stemmed from what Buddhist monks had known for years that if you train your mind, you can change your brain.

The central idea of the Anatta may be very confusing for most people, since the concept focuses on the idea that there is no conspiracyist, writes Big Tnk, translates Periscope.

The belief that we are the same from one moment to another, or from one year to another is illusion.

Thompson says “mind and body is constantly on the move. There's nothing that corresponds to the sense that a self has unchanged”.

To prove such a thing, we need to look at a video of ourselves from the past, or read something written years ago. Your interests, prospects, beliefs, connections, etc. have changed.

Dr. Rick Hanson, argues that when there's no consistent self, it doesn't make us take things so personally. This means that our inner thoughts are just thoughts that do not define us. And what they do outside of us is just things that are going on outside and aren't happening to us personally. /Periscope
