This is a sad reality, especially in Italy, but all over Europe! Otherwise known as “Revenge Porn” and is now described as a global threat to all who may become “viktimia” of this dangerous phenomenon!
Since photo videos can easily be distributed on the Internet, especially those intimate ones, the term “pornographic action” is putting all state structures in motion, especially in Italy. It consists of publishing moments, mainly those of the sexual sphere, from images, to videos and actions during a sexual practice that portrays your image in whole or in part naked.
This is “pornographic abuse” where photos or videos are made public, without knowing whether the subject has expressed a clear desire to distribute! The cases in which this material is produced are multiple: it may be that the subject has decided to send either video for exclusive pleasure to the mate or together they have decided to create that video or photo in a private context, or in more extreme cases they are recorded without the knowledge of the sexual partner.
Pornography revenge, what's the 5 Star Movement bill?
This phenomenon has become a dangerous approach because of intensive use of social networks. The possibility of spreading Internet images has become extremely fast because of the simplicity that anyone can get or find data of any kind. The existence of social networks, which include the weak protection of personal data from its users, has made video dating and photos very easy to identify subjects.
The criminal phenomenon became known in Italy in the case of Tisiana Cantones, a Nazi girl who became a victim after publishing strictly personal videos. Despite the media condemnation of this stance, more and more people are victims of <x0Revenge Porn”, this is why the 5 Star Movement has decided to submit a separate bill covering the existing legislative vacuum. For the time being, victims of this practice may report guilty of slander or privacy violations.
The bill was recently proposed in parliament and is now being considered by the chamber. The first bill envisions the prison sentence for anyone publishing pornographic details about a person who has not expressed his consent. The punishment is more serious if the husband or person who has been romantically attached to the subject has shared pornography. Monetary sanctions are also envisioned for those who have contributed to the distribution of material, while for younger ones, training initiatives are proposed to be educated to respect privacy.
