Angela Merkel is expected to decree new measures against Avid-19, which appears to have irritated many.
Red roses and candles, as well as a gravestone with the inscription: “Press Freedom, Freedom of Thought, Movement and Frameworks 1990-2020”, suggests police through a statement to the media.
German police said on Saturday that they have launched an investigation into the episode in question that appears to be linked to the Chancellor's measures under the Coronavirus.
The protest action came as thousands of demonstrators are preparing to gather in large German cities, including Stutgart, Munich and Berlin, against house-to-house measures.
German police suggest that along with the tombstone a facial cover was placed in front of the CDU office in its electoral area of Stralsund, on the coast of Balltic.
Merkel's CDU party Secretary General Paul Ziemak called it “a tasteless action”.
A growing wave of demonstrations has started Germany from the theories of conspiracy, extremists and anti-mugglers, which have alarmed Merkel and her government. Initially few people have attended the protests, but the gatherings have already grown to lie in the largest German cities.
