Sunday afternoon, a 26-year-old from Gjilan who had returned from Germany to Kosovo and had been crushed at the Students Centre in Pristina to isolate himself, danced from the dorm where he was staying, and as a result, he died. In this regard, Gjilan municipality head Lutfi Haziri, today at a news conference said he wants from investigative bodies to conduct all necessary investigations and clear the case
Haziri said Gjilan has experienced another tragedy with the death of 26-year-old.
The date is still going through unimaginable tragedy today, the great pain with the tradition of announcing that a young man from our municipality who has returned from Germany has been recognized. We ask the investigative bodies to investigate the case to the end, to give the family peace by making the case white. We owe it to anyone affected by this” situation, Haziri said.
Asked whether the family has asked the young man to be housebound, Haziri said the 26-year-old father was not allowed to meet him.
“Definitiously, the very fact that the way the return organisation has been through Kosovo institutions, the municipality of Gjilan, has applied to the Kosovo Embassy in Berlin, the embassy has reacted and organised the return on the first plane. We have filled out all the documentation needed for this case that was prioritized, but in Pristina it has been subject to Pristina rules, then we have had another option. The boy's father was at the airport, wanted to see the boy, but did not allow”, Haziri said.
