This press conference comes two days after the Constitutional Court's decision in favour of President Hashim Thaci's decree for the nomination of Avdullah Hoti for prime minister, a decision Kurti himself has said he does not accept.

At the time that the Constitutional Court was dealing with the complaint on Thaci's decree, protests have also taken place at Pristina's main sale, which Vetevendosje Movement activists say are testing.
In the latest protest in which they have called for new elections, protesters from the government balcony have even greeted incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti himself.
