He has made it known after a virtual conversation with representatives and undertaken economic platforms in Europe.
As disclosed by a media communiqué by the prime minister's office, Kurti stressed that based on the importance of the diaspora, the government intends to empower its role.
“Diasspora has enormous significance for the Republic of Kosovo, and its importance is reflected in its attention to the Government Programme. In this direction, we think of empowering the diaspora mediator's role in meetings of high levels of political decision-makers and large corporations in countries where they live, creating mechanisms, such as that of the National Council for Foreign and Strategic Investment, which will be placed within the framework of the Office of Prime Minister”, he has said, adding that the diaspora see it as human capital, besides financial.
For this reason, Kurti has said he will focus on creating a national programme that is based on transfer of knowledge and experience from diaspora to Kosovo.
“Praising that diplomacy and diaspora are inseparable in many areas, and with the aim of restructuring representation, this government has joined the Ministry of Diaspores and Strategic Investments with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That's why we're based on successful international models, like Ireland's”, he's added up.
