Exile arrested in Merdare in January to be held in custody in Serbia by July

In the early hours Friday 4 January of this year, Nezir Mehmetaj and his mother, Nazlien, had taken the road to Serbia's Nis.

Nezir Mehmetaj, who has been living in Switzerland for years, was arrested at the Merdare border crossing with an arrest warrant issued by the Serbian court under war crimes allegations.
