The second phase of clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines is expected to be completed successfully, starting in July, and thus far no negative response has been seen from the tests, a Chinese official announced on Friday.
Vaccines subject to clinical studies include an adenovrus vector vaccine and four inactivated vaccines supported by China's National Medical Products Administration, the senior official at the National Health Commission said at a press conference Zeng Yixin.
In all, 2036 volunteer participants for the second phase of clinical trials are counting on whether or not the vaccines are safe and effective, according to Zeng.
