Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece agreed today to ease travel restrictions in force since mid-March, as part of the fight against the spread of the new coronary.
“From June 1st, it will no longer be necessary to force a 14-day quarantine for people travelling to Bulgaria from Greece and Serbia, on a work trip or for family reasons”, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boïko Borisov announced.
“Confisions will no longer be applied to diplomats, to transport trucks and to people on humanitarian missions”, he added.
According to the prime minister, this move will apply to tourists as of June 15th.
Travelers will have to sign a declaration on the border to prove they have no symptoms of COVID-19.
The deal on easing the restrictions was reached during a videoconferencing made today between the heads of governments and states of Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Romania. / AFP/
