The clinic today has released 18 patients cured of coronary. Infectian Valbon Krasniqi, as he points out the situation [...]
Infectian Valbon Krasniqi, as he tells of the patient's situation, says the country is heading towards the end of this pandemic.
However, it appeals for citizens to continue to respect the recommended measures and avoid mass collection.
We have released a large number of cured patients today, released 18 patients from the clinic, while in clinics we have 15 COVID-19 patients still positive. Of them health conditions and nine of them are very good, they are stable, we have four with oxygen therapy. As two continue to we still have a very serious condition in our clinic's intensive department and their situation is critical”, he said.
The last few days have been marked by a small number of new cases with COVID-19, which according to the trend Krasniqi is heading towards the end of this pandemic.
“Trendi is such, we think we're on that road, yet the pandemic is still present, we are still in the time of pandemic, we still have over 300 active cases at the country level, so there are positive COVID and we have several thousand others who are persons of contact and are under surveillance of field teams. Nevertheless, we feel that we are on the right path and that we are headed for the end of pandemic. This does not allow us to underestimate the situation yet, it does not allow us to relax as a whole, we should be particularly careful in implementing personal hygiene and physical distance measures”, he said.
Although there are small numbers of new cases with COVID-19, Krasniqi appeals that citizens continue to respect the recommended measures and stay at home.
He says it is very important that mass gatherings be avoided and that when released from home, they are equipped with protective measures.
“We are still in the time of pandemic, not just Kosovo, the world is still in the time of pandemic. True, we have the lowest number of cases, it is also true that we are headed for the end of the pandemic, but we have to be careful that even though the virus is in the attraction of the enemy even during the withdrawal can cause serious damage. Therefore, I will appeal even further to citizens to respect measures for preventing spread, in particular when they come out of their homes to cover their mouth and nose with mask or bandages, to take care of their personal hygiene and to maintain their physical distance”, he said.
Infectian Valbon Krasniqi, claims it can be expected that during the upcoming winter season there will be a second wave of those infected with COVID-19, but who says it remains to be seen.
For the upcoming winter season, that is one thing that can be expected, but it also remains to be seen. Because viruses that are the cause of lung and lung diseases and are passed along by such roads as the Coronavius, they usually have a biological cycle that starts in late autumn or winter and then end up in spring or summer to be restored in the coming autumn. It remains to be seen how this virus is going to behave, so even with the outcome of what we can call this pandemic, I think that we all field experts, government decision-making institutions have to analyze the situation we've been through, how we've done, what we've done well, what we can do best and start preparing for such potential pandemics”, he said.
So far in Kosovo, there are 854 confirmed cases with COVID-19, while 490 people have recovered and 26 people have died.
