Kosovo institutions should provide greater support to the country's municipalities, with the goal of preventing the spread of Covid-19.
So said the chairman of Kosovo's Democratic Party, Kadri Veseli, after meeting Kosovo's Fusha municipality chairman Burim Berisha.
Wessel said he believes that on April 14th they will approve the new financial package in the Kosovo Assembly, which will obviously help health institutions and businesses in the fight against pandemic.
“I believe that on April 14th we will have approval in the Kosovo Assembly without much debate, of a package that will be financial for most of these and communities, both in businesses and municipalities, and in the reinforcement of health workers, in addition to the subsidy that will be done directly and willing to face the challenge we have together. We'll succeed. I'm pretty sure it's”, Vessel said.
Wessel has congratulated the Roma community on their International Day, meanwhile, said it is time for the successful struggle of the pandemic.
Kosovo's Fushe municipality Chairman Burim Berisha said they have taken some measures in the municipality he leads in preventing corruption from spreading. Until he added they needed greater support from the central level.
We requested that in the new fiscal package, which will soon be prepared according to the information we have, the municipality be put into the most powerful package. Because the main host of the fight against the Corona virus are the municipalities. We face sick people, besides the Infectious Clinic and IkSP, are municipalities... the mayor assured me that the municipality will be «the priority of the fiscal package and some businesses that have not entered, will try to get in. Because we're a municipality with a lot of businesses, and they're starting to feel a little tired of it. But we are hoping that we will soon pass this situation”, Berisha said.
Among other things, Berisha has called on citizens to respect health institutions measures in order to prevent the spread of video-19.
Roma community representative Fehmi Gashi said they have so far been supported in projects for the community, from the Fusha Kosovo municipality.
