Did you hear that? Sex is not just a matter of fun and fun. Science says there are many incredible health benefits from this physical activity. Thanks to new research, good news doesn't stop here. Having sex at least once a week can also help you live longer, scientists say.
The study at the University of California in San Francisco traced the sex life of 129 mothers for a week. Participants offered a daily report on their overall satisfaction of relations, as well as cases of conflict, support and privacy with their partners.
When researchers compared women's reports with their blood samples, they found an interesting model. Mothers who had sexual reports with their partners at least once during this week had visible telomeries or parts of a cell responsible for aging than those who did not.
What cells of telomeres have to do with longevity?
In time, telomeres in your cells are destroyed as a result of aging, poor diet, and alcohol, researchers said. But these results show that regular sex can repair and prolong them, keeping your cells healthy and new.

Such a minor study requires further research, of course. But considering what happens to your body when you stop having sexual times, this research can be something of value to you. Plus, previous studies have also suggested that couples have to have sex at least once a week to live a long and healthy life.
