Thaci charges criminal charges against Agim Bahtiri for threatening brother-in-law statement

The country's president, Hashim Thaci, has deposited Kalzim Penal in the State Prosecution against South Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri.

This Penal Kalzim links with Agim Bahtiri's statement, which, on the part of President Thaci, has been named as an attack against Kosovo's constitutional order, violence against the top representatives of the Republic of Kosovo and inciting division and lack of patience. On March 30th 2020, Agim Bahtiri of the Vetevendosje Movement had declared they would not leave Government without an election, including the brother-in-law.

The new government will be made when elections are held and we will tell each country. There's no new government from October 6th until elections, don't get into a murder dispute, because we don't intend to let anyone rob us of power, citizens have given us up to be there again. I'm afraid of her, because the people are very revolting. I call on the president to be careful and announce the election...”, Bahtiri had declared.

With this public statement, according to the Penal Call, which is taught that President Thaci has made, which his office, Agim Bahtiri, has confirmed, made statements that go to the expense of the country, Kosovo's progress and independence. These public statements by Bahtir have been described as being made to intimidate Kosovo's opinion and as a direct threat to Kosovo's president. With violence sparked by this high-ranking Vetevendosje official, who is also mayor of the municipality, according to Penal Kallem, Bahtiri has attempted to change the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo, overthrow the highest institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, prevent the president of the Republic of Kosovo from carrying out corporal tasks and force it to fail to carry out actions by the scope of its duties. These criminal acts are also defined in Article 114 and Article 121 of Penal Code No. 06/L-074 of the Republic of Kosovo. Also, according to Penal Kallem, with that statement, misusing his position as Mayor Bahtiri has promoted divisions and no patience, as well as publicly spreading hatred, criminal acts defined in Article 141 of the Kosovo Criminal Code. Kosovo's president, in his Penal Kallement, has demanded from the institutions responsible that in accordance with the legislation in power take respective actions. Following the government's no-confidence motion vote, President Thaci has begun undertaking steps defined in the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. So far, he has invited all political parties to consultative meetings to assess whether it is in the entity of the political parties forming the new government or distributing the Assembly. The publicly expressed will of all political parties, except Vetevendosje, has been and remains the formation of the new government without going to the polls. President Thaci through an official letter has also asked the Vetevendosje Movement for new mandated formation of the Government of Kosovo. So far, the Vetevendosje Movement has given no signal that it plans to submit a new name for mandate of the new government.
