Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba has offered his hospital in Côte d'Ivoire to be used as a coronary treatment centre as the country prepares for a major dance in cases.
The hospital, based in the city of Abidjan, opened in 2016 and bears the name of former Côte d'Ivoire football player Laurent Pokou, who passed away the same year that it opened.

The current spread of COVID-19 has remained controlled throughout Africa, however, fears that the deadly virus will spread much faster.
Drogba has been grateful for his patrioticist from Vincent Toh Bi Irie, head of the Abidjan regional council, who said the hospital will help them fight the disease.

“Thank Drogba for this gift considered an act of patriotism,” said Toh B.
The first case of coronobius has been recorded in the African country on March 11 and 574 people have been diagnosed with the virus since that day and five have died.
