Singer from Albania Alban Skenderaj has written on Fcebook taking various examples of the use of words and differences between Kosovo and Albania.
It through a speech issued on Facebook requires Kosovars not to be influenced by Albania, where he says his country suffers from the inferiority complex with these worthless loans.
Here's his status:
I'm writing this time that if I quit, I'll forget it. I just saw on TV that even a Kosovo journalist -- influenced because he was speaking to the Albanian public -- used the word “ID ID” and not LETERNOPHIM -- that's the same word but in the SHQIP and in Kosovo different than this.
Please in Kosovo, not only, don't be affected by Albania, which suffers from the inferior complex with these unnecessary loans. It's us who have to take an example from you for the way you spell words that logical, simple and responsible words. The same thing has happened in recent years with words like “austrade”, rotonda, washing, points, etc. It's a long subject and examples are endless and banal. I've lived out many years and I don't have the trunk of a languager, and I'm mistaken, but I have the goodwill so much more on such obvious occasions! I'm not without reason to discuss foreign words that have entered us for years and centuries on historical grounds when the overwhelming part of the population was illiterate, but it's a child's responsibility to introduce foreign words over and over again in the media, television and even institutions in 2020!
