Kosovo Police General Director Rashit Qalaj has declared that the security situation in Kosovo is very calm and secure thanks to the unspoiled work of institutions in co-operation with citizens.
I thank citizens for respecting the guidelines and restrictions given by Kosovo institutions. I can say that it's citizens who are doing the KP's easy work, and to a large extent these guidelines are being respected by citizens and appeal to respect them even more. Any respect for instructions helps citizens to have healthy families - caring for their families and all the people. From the security aspect, Kosovo is very calm and secure, and it is thanks to the unspoiled work of Kosovo institutions and citizens who at this time are showing great discipline”, Qalaj said.
He also added that police commitments are great and that the same ones continue to work for 12 hours.
“The police engagements are huge, we escort them from the border points and we take them to the Student Center, we escort the citizens who go through the territory and do it with the KSF and engage in many of the locations designated by the Ministry of Health. I especially thank the population of Cline, Malisheva, and other cities that are respecting decisions. The police engagement is very large, as we also work for 12 hours, work that everyone is doing, doctors, nurses, firemen have put the situation under control, and we hope in the future. We are committed to working constantly to make citizens have conditions to function. We have an appeal since the restraining hour is until 5:00, business owners try to close them an hour earlier so that workers can reach home at 5:00 instead of 6:00. We beg businesses to create conditions so that we have as few roadblocks as possible. All the actions the police take are actions coordinated with our local and central institutions. There is room for panic, and there is no place that Kosovo Police do not operate in the whole country in action with the Constitution and in principle with laws”, he added.
