Scientists in Great Britain who are working on the discovery of a coronary vaccine hope to start clinical trials by the end of next week, reports the BBC.
Sarah Gilbert, professor at Oxford University, said no one is immune so far, but her team was given permission to start recruiting volunteers.
She hopes clinical trials will begin within the coming days.
“We are awaiting final security tests and given final approval”, she told the BBC.
Gilbert added that researchers need support from the United Kingdom government for accelerating the production of the vaccine.
Great Britain has 115,314 infected with the new coronary and 15,498 dead.
