43 patients infected with the COVID-19 virus are being treated at the QKUK Infectious Clinic. Four of them are expected to be released today, as both tests have resulted in negative results, which means they have completely healed. Six of them are in heavier condition.
So has made known about KosovaPress infectedlogu, Valbon Krasniqi, who has announced that an elderly woman is already in intensive care and that her condition is very serious.
At the current moment we have 43 confirmed patients who are lying in the Infectious Clinic, yet 4 of them will be released today, you know they have already resulted in full chemical and laboratory healing. In fact, there are five cures, but one of the patients because there are still positive family members can endure one more day until the other family member is healed. So 43 are, four will be released, 39 will remain. Their public health condition is good, except for 6 of them who are in a more serious state of affairs for the fact that oxygen therapy must be obtained along with regular therapy. While an elderly female sex patient is receiving services in intensive care of the Infectious Clinic and her condition is very severe, and since the last afternoon, she has had to enter into the respiratory field”, Krasniqi said.
Three nurses, whose condition according to Krasniqi is stable, have also been infected and that one of them has been released for home treatment.
“The state of three nurses at our clinic is good, one of them is at home and is the good state of the other two that are in the clinic as well as the health situation is good at the moment”, the infection stressed.
Krasniqi said that for all patients, they are using a combination of hydroxolokins and azotromycin and that they are currently well supplied with these drugs.
And we're well supplied with these drugs. With hydrochlexia, we are extremely well equipped with azotromics we expect to be supplied with more in the coming days. At the moment, we also have azotromycin but we need continuous supplies...03%20 so far we've been relatively well equipped, but the supply with these equipment needs to be continuous and regular for the fact that the number of patients is growing from day to day and normally is a lifesaving material. However, up to these moments we have had sufficient amounts, while along with the possession of these equipment the entire Infectious Clinic staff is trained for their use”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi says that according to international experts' projections, the second week of April is expected to mark the peak of this pandemic. So it warns increases in the number of infected people in our country as well.
It appealed to all citizens to avoid contacts and to strictly respect the recommendations of the WTO and other health institutions, but government.
The second month of April could be marked by the largest number of cases at the level of Kosovo, however, this depends on several «factors. First of all, it depends on the discipline of citizens, how much they have observed the rules to stay at home and avoid contact, and it also depends on the number of tests done on the ground. Because if there's a greater number of tests on the contact's family, of course we can have an increase in the number”, he said.
So far in Kosovo with the COVID-19 virus, there have been a total of 112 cases, while one of them has died.
