Krasniqi: The mayoral decision in the north took Djuric, not the government

The deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly from the PDK ranks, Memli Krasniqi, has reacted after the health minister's statements, Arben Vitita, who said he has made a decision to quarantine northern Mitrovica and Zvecan, not Serbia. Krasniqi has said that Minister Vitita deceived citizens because he forced Albin Kurti [...]
Krasniqi has said that Minister Vitita deceived citizens because he forced Albin Kurti and Xhelal Sfecla, since the minister cannot make such decisions but only the government and that the day before there was no government meeting.
According to him, the decision on police time in the north and quarantine has been taken by Marko Djuric, not Albin Kurti.
He has asked Minister Vitita why he, with Albin Kurti and Glauk Konjufca and Jalal Sfecla, made a decision and gave Belgrade permission to send hundreds of health personnel to Kosovo Serbs and why did the Kosovo government not implement reciprocity to send doctors from Kosovo to the Presevo Valley to help Albanians there?
Full Posting:
I was sorry by Health Minister Arben Vitita, whom his bosses, Albin Kurti and Jelal Svecla, forced last night to appear at a media conference to deceive concerned citizens about the situation in the country's north.
Minister Vitita said the decision to quarantine northern Mitrovica and Zvecan has been taken as minister of health. What nonsense! If the Minister of Health has the powers for quarantine decisions, then why would the quarantine of Kline, the Year of Malisheva, when the first of the pandemic was hit, the Government decided at extraordinary meetings? In which of these two different cases has the decision been legitimate, and in what illegal, since they are referring to two different cases and in the same case?
Then, if the minister really made the decision on this, by what standard has he decided, when there is no official information about the number of infected in northern municipalities? If there are only six infected in Zvecan, reportedly, why aren't other municipalities in Kosovo quarantined that have more than that number of infected people?
Minister, I didn't expect you to agree to become an instrument in the hands of frauds.
The truth is, you have not even decided to quarantine two northern municipalities, nor to the <x0-hour police” that is now beginning to be implemented at the order of the Government of Serbia. These decisions, unfortunately, without even asking Kosovo government, have been taken by Marko Djuric and the so-called “stabe crisis” of these two municipalities. For that, you may have been informed by the media, just like us. In the meantime, you may have made the so-called decisions, the same as Djuriqi's, from inadequacy to do anything else. However, the decisions in question were made more than 24 hours before you were forced to declare yourself. So do not deceive the citizens. Tell the truth!
All you've decided, Albin Kurti, Jelal Svecla and Glauk Konjufca for northern municipalities is that you have agreed to hand over to Serbia the management of pandemic in these municipalities. For more, not only in northern municipalities, but wherever Serbs live in Kosovo.
About 300 Serbian officials have entered Kosovo with your permission. Without even proving that they are all really just health workers. This represents the greatest security threat in the Republic of Kosovo, at least since the declaration of independence. What do they say to this, besides surrender and chapter?
How come you didn't ask, at least, for Kosovo to send doctors and nurses to the Presevo Valley? Is that not reciprocity? Why didn't you think about the Albanians in the Valley, who don't even have the proper care from the institutions there in the past?
To this day, the Health Ministry has no information about how many Kosovo citizens, with Serb ethnicities, are infected by the COVID-19 virus. They do not figure out the official records of the Republic of Kosovo. Why, Minister? Who stopped you? With whom did you agree to renounce institutional but moral responsibility that you have towards all Kosovo citizens? How can you reason with that chapter?
Pandemia will pass, but will never forget the shameful truth that you officially handed over to Serbia health management of all of our country's majority Serb municipalities. The consequences of this surrender will be long-term and you will have historic responsibility for the blow you have given to the state sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.
