Kosovo allocates 500 thousand euros for Presevo, Medvedja, Bujanovac

Kosovo has earmarked 500 thousand euros for Kosovo's Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac, the Kosovo Ministry of Finance and Transfers reports. In this news release, the media notes, given the serious situation caused by the pandemic COVID-19, the Ministry of Finance and Transitions on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has made a decision on sharing financial aid in the amount of 500 thousand euros for municipalities in Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc.
A tremendous contribution to the realisation of this assistance has been made by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance and Transference Ilir Aliu, of origin from the Capiti Medvedja”, the report said.
According to the statement, this amount has been divided because the Government of Kosovo is aware of its commitment to the Albanian population living on these threes.
In that spirit, the Government has been willing to come to the aid of these municipalities with the relevant amounts as follows:
For the Presevo municipality two hundred thousand euros (20000.000).
For the Bujanoc municipality two hundred thousand euros (20000.000)
For the Medvedja municipality, a hundred thousand euros ($10,000,000).
“Also, the Ministry of Finance and Transfers reports that by April 27th, the Kosovo Treasury has implemented the payments, respectively, for all three municipalities. According to common banking procedures, these payments are conducted as international transfers from the Treasury Account to the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, through the correspondent bank “Deutsche Bank AG” (Germany) in the municipal accounts of the Central Bank of Serbia, as assistance and solidarity for the population there at this time pandemic by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo”, the announcement concludes.
