Good sleep protects the heart, and it seems to be worth the bones. According to an experiment on cables in the laboratory, it turns out that when sleep is good and orderly, there is a molecular mechanism behind it, connecting the brain, bone marrow, and blood vessels.
In this case, the brain emits a hormone operating on the bones, significantly reducing the release of some cells in the bloodstream that affect their degradation. If this discovery was confirmed in man, it could pave the way for new therapies against cardiovascular diseases.
Research in question was published in the science magazine Nature and carried out by US National Medical Institutes in collaboration with Harvard and Boston University. According to them, this protective mechanism is regulated by sleep and blocked when it is small and bad.
