Experts say that the new surveys that were undertaken and the ongoing research on coronavirus, and along with lessons from past pandemics, have shown that the impact can be too great and with long-term effects on mental health.
The team has said that it is now complex to launch a coordinated research program to dig out the micronavirus impact itself, as well as policies like quarantine, writes The Guardian, translated Periscope.
Professor Ed Bullmore, head of the psychiatry department at Cambridge University and co-author of the new report, said the research done so far had been small and fragmented.
A key message is that Covid is expected to have a huge impact on mental health now and in the future, and we need to think about it immediately,” he said.
Researchers had also mentioned research conducted in China that of 215 patients who had been in Wuhan hospitals with coronarys, 78 had reported neurological symptoms.
However, the main problem remains with people who have difficulty coping with quarantines, and because of it, the risk of self-insulting, anxiety and depression increases. /Periscope
