Government spokesman in office, Kryeziu has said today they are awaiting the publication of the decree by President Hashim Thaci for the mandate to address the Constitutional Court for interpretation.
Kryeziu has said that as long as the request for prime minister's mandate for LDK is not under way, President Thaci's government in office will continue its work.
“We are awaiting this decree, the contents of this decree and reference made by the president on its steps towards forming the government, and on this content we will address Constitutional Court”, Kryeziu has said.
Kryeziu has said that the failure to publish this decree is an expression of willingness to take actions that are in conflict with the constitution.
“We have expressed our conviction and believe that our intervention is fair when we say that the president's next actions should be the ones that lead to announcing early elections after the pandemic passes, rather than forming a new government”, he said of Rtv Dukajin.
He also said they would ask for an opinion from the Venice Commission.
“For an opinion request will also be addressed to the Venice Commission, being convinced that an opinion by an independent institution will help clarify this constitutional situation, but at the same time would serve the Constitutional Court's decision so that it can be as fair as possible and as much as under a loan of”, the government spokesman has said.
