Scientists in Great Britain who are working on the discovery of a coronary vaccine hope to begin clinical trials by the end of next week, reports the BBC.
Sarah Gilbert, professor at Oxford University, said no one is immune so far, but her team was given permission to start recruiting volunteers.
Gilbert hopes clinical trials will begin within the next few days.
“We are awaiting final security tests and given final approval”, she told the BBC.
She pointed out that researchers need support from the United Kingdom government for speeding up vaccine production.
