Consumption of Alcohol It is an increasingly common problem among young people. Unfortunately, with serious consequences. Drinking too much in a short time actually endangers the physical and mental health of children. Oxygens can also be endangered. According to a new study, overdrinking - alcohol abuse at a limited time - can actually endanger testicle development and thus interfere with sexual life and fertility.
Italian research on fertility and excessive drinking
The study that discovered the connection between alcohol consumption and the reduction of testicles was conducted by a group of Italian scholars and published in the science magazine Andrology. The authors considered information collected during the Amiko-Andrologist survey, a permanent national monitoring programme conducted by the Italian Andrology and Sex Medicine Association (Sials), co-ordinated by Rome's Sapienza University and supported by the Ministry of Health.
Scholars generally examined the data of over 10,000 young people, aged 18 to 19, collected through 10,124 interviews structured with high school students last year and 3,816 medical examinations.
People who drink too much in a short time have smaller testicles
By analyzing the data, experts found that boys who used to smoke had smaller testicles than their peers who did not. In detail, it turned out that 11.6% of students had a diagnosis of environmental disorders, and for this reason they were treated: 27% for variables, 14% for a decrease in test volume, 7% for 5% fisome for early and 4.7% for sexually transmitted infections. In short, overdrinking was accompanied by a decrease in the volume of testicles with potential consequences to fertility.
The authors also found that 60% of the boys had an active sex life and that 48% do not use protection during sexual relations. Finally, they saw that 16.6% of the students were overweight, 3% were underweight.
Reproductive Health Can Be Threatened
The researchers concluded that overdrinking phenomena also have a negative effect on sexual health. The testing size is a human reproductive health index, and a decrease can be linked to a reduced ability to produce sperm. So as a teenager, greater attention is needed to prevent problems”, explained the first study author, Daniele Gianfrell, a researcher at the School of Endocrinology of Sapienza University in Rome.
Alcoholic beverages are increasingly popular among young children. The dangers are enormous, both physically and mentally. In the most serious cases, a coma appears.
