Even tonight, 8:00 in 5 minutes has been called to protest on balconys. Such an unusual protest is taking place at a time when Kosovo is in isolation from the Coronavirus.

The reason for the protest on the balcony, which is taking place by playing pots, is to say no to the vote of confidence in the government Kurti at this time when Kosovo is facing global pandemic.

“Apology and public responsibility from the president for the panic created in Kosovo due to his uncoordinated calls for declaring the state of emergency”, organisers' announcement said.

Requests:

  1. The withdrawal of the LDK's no-confidence motion until overcoming the situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic
  2. Prime Minister's Public Responsibilities in Cause of Government Crisis in Pandemie Times
  3. Dating opposition political parties ( PDK, AAK, Initiative and AKR) from their blind struggle for power in pandemic time
  4. An apology and public responsibility from the president for the panic created in Kosovo due to his uncoordinated calls for declaring the state of emergency.

Reasons:

  1. The LDK cannot at a time of crisis tear down the government for a party person or interests, fully unconventional, and risking and panic citizens for the country's future at a time when the single and key focus should be protection from the COVID-19 virus. Other issues can wait until we overcome this situation. The important and priority should be the welfare and health of citizens. This situation is affecting citizens while facing protection from the virus, reducing trust in institutions and panic.
  2. Despite the fact that we all know Agim Veliu is a person who puts party interest ahead of general interest, the prime minister did not have to dismiss him in this situation caused by COVID-19, knowing that he causes a crisis in the government and knowing the coalition partner. After all, Veliu has been accepted by Kurti as minister, even though we all know his capacities. His dismissal could have occurred after overcoming the pandemic by not causing a government crisis during this situation.
  3. Opposition parties cannot exploit this situation created by government parties to campaign electoral, rather a real opposition wants to remove the country from the crisis in a time of crisis. Opposition parties from the beginning of February, instead of seeking government accounting sessions for protection from COVID-19, have continued by calling out hearings to campaign electoral campaigns and giving vain and non-racial speeches.
  4. Kosovo's president cannot emerge in times of crisis in the media and propose extraordinary situations without being well co-ordinated with the prime minister. Through that media session, citizens have settled in panic without even knowing exactly what will happen. Now, the President claims we don't need a state of emergency. This is the president's public responsibility and I have to apologize for putting citizens in panic and crisis situations through his political games.

We tonight will seek public responsibility and reflection from these political acts for these irresponsible acts, political resentments and party interests in times of health crisis through the appearance of each of us on the balcony or windows at the hour of yet20:00 per 5 minutes in all of Kosovo's cities and villages to keep making noises with different means that are not dangerous (cells or pots and spoons).
