Thaci's adviser: There's initiative from Trump to transport dialogue to Washington

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's political adviser, Artan Behrami, has declared about meetings that Thaci will hold today with party and institutional leaders.

Behram has said in the eyes of 7, that the first state in his meetings today will inform all institutional and political leaders more specifically and specifically of the talks he has conducted at the White House, as well as of the demands and expectations the White House has for the Kosovo side.

However, at the same time these meetings will serve to discuss other topics of national interest such as co-ordination in foreign policy when it is known that the president has a very big role at this point stemming from the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. According to the Constitution, the president is chief of diplomacy and foreign policy carriers. Of course, at these meetings we will also discuss other challenges Kosovo faces before itself”, he has said further.

Behrami has stressed that the president will meet with all party leaders, but has not indicated whether Prime Minister Albin Kurti has confirmed the meeting as well.

There will be meetings with all institutional and political leaders today, and the goal is the best co-ordination of the Republic of Kosovo before its challenges. One of the biggest challenges and priorities the United States currently has is the completion of the Kosovo-Serbia-x1 dialogue process.

The prime minister's “as the leader of Vetevendosje, but also former Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, former Prime Minister Kadri Veselin, Fatmir Limaj and Behgjet Pacolli will have separate meetings to discuss all these” topics, he has said.

The state chief's political adviser has said he has initiative by US President Donald Trump for the dialogue process to be carried to Washington.

“For the first time after many years of labor and no results that have been conducted in Brussels, we have serious initiative by President Donald Trump for the dialogue process to be carried to Washington, the White House where the journey of Kosovo's freedom and independence began, and where the completion of Kosovo's citizenship with membership at UN” should end.

“Such an initiative has great popular support, as it was a requirement in the last five years of any political leader for dialogue to be led by the US. This dialogue is now being carried to Washington. Kosovo's president's visit to the White House had exactly this symbolic”.

But, as he points out, the Kosovo government is opposing this initiative and a major American commitment to complete the dialogue process.

“at the same time, we have had several Kosovo Government initiatives that appeared in public opinion that oppose this American initiative, since even in their governing programme, dialogue should be held in Brussels”
