It has often been seen performing difficult male and hero roles in action movies. With his two films “Taken” and “Taken 2” had been criticised for taking revenge on the image of Albanians through portrayal of them as criminals. But actor Liam Neeson will be included again in a film that is placed in an Albanian context. For two years his name has been coveted as the leading actor in the movie "%s" “Charlie Johnson in the Flames”, directed by Tarik Saleh. Although still in the preproduction phase, this project is based on adapting the novel to the same title of Canadian author Michael Ignatieff.
This film will present Neeson as approaching political intrigues as a journalist tracking down the murder of an Albanian woman by a Serbian Army officer.
“I rely mainly on the equally estimated novel Michael Ignatieffi, '{0}'Charlie Johnson in the Flames, will shift the film from Kosovo to the African continent, and will likely focus with emphasis on the continued violence and on the riots that cover all that space”, writes “bingepost<x>.
According to the synopsis, Canadian novel Michael Ignatheff refers to journalist Charlie Johnson, who along with Polish cameraman Jacek was covering the war in Kosovo.
By contrast, Roman author Michael Ignatieff is a Canadian historian and academic. In academic circles in the West, he has made a name with his position in support of NATO's intervention in Kosovo, which he had called a humanitarian war “” in one of his books. /Timeday/
