PDK: Coalition LV V-LDK abandoned citizens urgently to split Financial Pack for businesses and workers in the private sector

The Democratic Party of Kosovo has issued a communiqué to the media through which it has said that the ruling coalition between LV and LDK ended as it had begun on charges of one another, fraud against citizens, irresponsibly to the country, and inability to govern normally. “The PDK did not stir up the crisis, nor did it [...]

“The PDK did not stir up the crisis, nor did it become part of it, but condemned this populist government from the start and denounced the damage it did to the country in less than two months of existence. First, the LV coalition The V-LDK was a fraud against their electorate, promising governments within 72 hours on principled grounds after 6 October, but were reduced to four months late and in an unprincipled post and power deal. Second, over 50 days of government, this government orchestrated an anti-American spirit, when everyone expected to strengthen the damaged relationship with the United States. It deliberately neglected the suggestions of our American friends and partners and through the controversial and divisive discours of the United States, brought in the inexorable sanction of the Republic of Kosovo, until the suspension of millions of donations and investments for Kosovo”, it is said in the communiqué.

“S third, with full awareness, the two leaders of LVV and LDK parties sparked a political crisis at the height of the worst health and social crisis since the post-war, as a result of the global pandemic of the COVID-19 virus. When, for good reason, all these days looked forward to increased care of government and institutions, citizens received a new crisis that increased uncertainty and fear even more. And all of this, as a result of having low political and party scores between the ruling coalition partners”, is said in the PDK communique.

The PDK considers that LVV of the LDK has fled institutional and moral responsibility at the most difficult time.

“Prime Minister Kurti vetoed the challenges and expectations of citizens, provoking with his actions the no-confidence motion that he received yesterday the support of more than two-thirds of the deputies of the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo”.

In this new political situation, The PDK wants not to create institutional vacuum and, as soon as possible, in accordance with the constitution and the laws of the country, to move towards the creation of new institutions, which will have priority in addressing the needs of citizens.

But despite the government falling yesterday, it is in office, until the formation of a new government. And for no moment, no one should escape the responsibilities and institutional obligations. This country and our society, each time they have been able to find the strength and the will to move forward, especially in times of great challenges, like what we face, in battle with the common enemy, the COVID-19” virus, says the communique.

“In the continuation of concrete proposals we have made as the PDK for the government, it is necessary that the state budget immediately release the Special Emergency Fund, which will enable the undertaking of quick and necessary measures for economic damages through the adoption of a financial package for businesses and private sector workers”.

“Set up these measures, the government in office must first enable credit payments to all businesses and citizens for a three-month period; cover the salaries of private sector workers who have not worked during this time; subsidise the payment of businesses that have been closed as a result of the crisis; enable emergency loans with low interest; and with a salary of 2-year period for businesses; pay monthly supplements to all doctors, nurses, firemen, officials, and other volunteers who are in the first line of battle with the COVICH, POWICH, the POCHCHCH, estimates.

“The PDK will be supportive of taking upper measures and for any measures that benefit citizens of the country”, the PDK communiqué says.
